Erika Guerra

Erika Guerra serves as PR leader for nonprofit groups affiliated with the World Mission Society Church of God, including Asis Star for middle and high school students, Asis for university students, and Asis Wa for young adult workers. She began volunteering about 15 years ago and stepped into the PR leadership role two years ago despite having no prior experience in the field. In this capacity, she organizes events that engage 60 to 80 volunteers for activities such as park cleanups and meal packaging, mentors PR teams at three other churches in Corpus Christi, College Station, and Louisiana, and coordinates with government officials and partners to fulfill ambitious volunteer goals. Guerra also works as a supervisor at another company, drawing on her background in customer service where she advanced to lead multiple supervisors. As a group leader and mom leader within her church community, she encourages mothers to network, join booster clubs, and maintain a growth mindset to pursue their passions without limiting themselves due to family responsibilities. Her approach emphasizes faith, delegation, self-evaluation to avoid burnout, and continuous learning through podcasts on leadership.
