About Erika
Erika Jordan is the Founder, Owner, and Hyperbaric Director of Hyperbaric Healing Treatment Center (HHTC), a multi-location medical practice serving Central Florida. With a background in emergency medical services and hyperbaric medicine, Erika has built her career around safety, innovation, and patient-centered care.
Under her leadership, HHTC has expanded across Orlando and New Smyrna Beach, with continued growth underway. She is known for maintaining rigorous clinical standards, advancing education around Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), and fostering collaborative relationships with surgeons and specialists to improve patient outcomes.
Beyond her clinical work, Erika is deeply committed to community impact. She has served for seven years as Operations Chair for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Orlando event, leading large-scale logistics, sponsorship coordination, and volunteer teams to support cancer awareness and fundraising initiatives.
As an entrepreneur, healthcare leader, and mother, Erika blends disciplined execution with purpose-driven leadership. She believes success is built on integrity, resilience, and service — and that growth is most meaningful when it positively impacts both patients and community.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Erika
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to faith, resilience, disciplined execution, and the people I surround myself with.
Faith has anchored me through every season — especially the challenging ones. Entrepreneurship in healthcare isn’t easy. There are regulatory hurdles, operational complexities, and moments where you simply have to trust the process and keep moving forward.
Resilience has been equally important. Growth doesn’t happen without setbacks. I’ve learned to view obstacles as refinement, not rejection.
I also believe deeply in structure and systems. Vision is important, but execution is everything. Building strong operational frameworks, prioritizing safety, and maintaining high standards have allowed us to grow sustainably.
And finally, I attribute much of our success to our team. No leader builds anything meaningful alone. Surrounding myself with capable, mission-driven people has made all the difference.
For me, success isn’t luck — it’s consistency, integrity, and purpose over time.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was: “Protect your integrity — everything else can be rebuilt.”
In healthcare and business, there will always be pressure — to grow faster, to cut corners, to say yes when you should say no. But your reputation, your ethics, and your word are the foundation of long-term success. Once those are compromised, no title or revenue can truly replace them.
Another piece of advice that shaped me was: “Build systems, not just success.” Sustainable growth doesn’t happen by accident. It requires structure, standards, safety, and accountability — especially in medicine.
Those two principles — integrity and disciplined execution — have guided every major decision I’ve made.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: know your value, master your craft, and don’t shrink yourself to fit into rooms you’ve earned the right to be in.
Healthcare — especially in leadership and operations — requires confidence, technical knowledge, and resilience. Invest deeply in your education. Understand the science. Learn the regulations. Study safety standards. Competence builds confidence, and confidence commands respect.
Second, protect your integrity. Your reputation will travel faster than any marketing ever could. Make decisions you can stand behind — especially when no one is watching.
Third, don’t be afraid to lead. Women often feel they need permission to step forward. You don’t. Leadership isn’t about being the loudest voice; it’s about being the most consistent, prepared, and mission-driven.
And finally, build a life — not just a career. Success is meaningful when it aligns with your values, your family, and your purpose.
There is room for strong, intelligent, compassionate women in this field. Step into it fully.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in hyperbaric medicine right now is education and standardization. There is still widespread misunderstanding about what Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is, what it’s approved for, and how it should be administered safely. As the field grows, maintaining rigorous safety protocols, proper training, and ethical standards is essential.
Another challenge is navigating the regulatory and reimbursement landscape, which can limit patient access to care — even when clinical evidence supports the benefit. Bridging the gap between innovation, policy, and accessibility remains a key issue.
At the same time, the greatest opportunity lies in the expanding research around HBOT’s role in wound healing, post-surgical recovery, radiation injury, neurological support, and overall regenerative medicine. We’re seeing increasing collaboration between surgeons, specialists, and hyperbaric centers — which is incredibly exciting.
There is also a major opportunity in integrative care models — where hyperbaric therapy works alongside surgical, oncologic, and aesthetic medicine to improve outcomes and recovery timelines.
For me, the focus is clear: elevate safety standards, educate both providers and patients, and continue building trusted partnerships that move the field forward responsibly.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me — in both my work and personal life — are integrity, service, resilience, and family.
Integrity guides every decision I make. In healthcare, especially, doing what’s right — even when it’s difficult or unseen — matters. Patient safety, ethical leadership, and transparency are non-negotiables for me.
Service is at the heart of everything I do. Whether it’s caring for patients, supporting our team, or leading community initiatives, I believe we are here to make a meaningful impact beyond ourselves.
Resilience has shaped my journey as an entrepreneur. Building and scaling multiple medical locations requires grit, adaptability, and the willingness to learn continuously.
And above all, family grounds me. Being a mother has strengthened my leadership — it reminds me daily why I work hard, why legacy matters, and why leading with compassion is so important.
For me, success isn’t just growth — it’s growth with purpose.
