Her Interview
Ten minutes with Erika
01What do you attribute your success to?
I'm a faith person, so I would have to say thanks to my faith, I am where I am today first and foremost. And second, my family, my children, and my granddaughter. They are my everything, and they're the ones that make me want to continue going in life and being better every day.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I would have to say to never give up. Sometimes things seem very difficult at first, and you're hesitant or scared to try it out. But then once you do, you feel that sense of gratitude that you did.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It can be very rewarding because you're helping people get jobs and reach for a goal, and you're also helping organizations. It's very satisfying. If you like to help people, I would say try it out, because it's an amazing career to help others.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
There's not enough time in my day to complete everything that I have to do, so sometimes it can get tricky. Sometimes I have to start earlier or finish later, and flex my time, but it's very busy at times and not enough time to get everything done.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Definitely have to have patience with everyone, respect, it's definitely very important. Perseverance, like just continue trying and not giving up.
