Her Interview
Ten minutes with Eryn
01What do you attribute your success to?
My mom and dad being anchors in my life, God and grit, and having a strong village of powerful people around me who believe in me even when I don't believe in myself.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
If you have an idea or are thinking of returning to school or doing anything to propel yourself to the next level, get it done because time is going to pass anyway. You might as well put yourself in a better position 10 years from now instead of being in the same place.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Very simple, just do it. Find a lane you desire to be in and be the best you can be at it. Seek out mentorship and opportunities to continually learn and grow in your field.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge I face within my current professional space is the growth opportunities being capped. As I continue to grow professionally & within the field of education, my current growth opportunities at my job remain limited. Therefore, it can make things a bit challenging. However, understanding that every opportunity is a stepping stone to reach your arrival point, keeps me motivated to stay focused on my final goal in mind.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity with a capital “I”, kindness and empathy.
