Her Interview

Ten minutes with Esther

01What do you attribute your success to?

Resilience has brought me this far. I always make sure that I achieve what I want to achieve. Not to give up and keep going, because definitely there's always something on the way that's kind of lacking, especially when a good thing is coming your way. Something on the way that kind of try to set you back. So, I feel like resilience has kept me going. And when I achieve it, be able to use it, not just achieve it and that's it.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You always have to be who you are. It's not really about you all the time when it comes to leadership, you also have to consider the people that you're leading. Lead from the front and make sure that you set examples. Use yourself as an example for others to follow. Be aware that yes I'm a female but whatever the challenges may be, have that emotional intelligence to be aware that yes I'm a female, yes I'm in this position, yes I'm gonna do the right thing, and I'm gonna lead from the front. Be you, know who you're leading, know that you're a leader, and lead from the front.
