Ten minutes with Etosha

01What do you attribute your success to?

My success comes from staying focused on my goals no matter what obstacles life throws at me. Now I also attribute it to my son as motivation.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My grandmother always told me to don't work to just live. Love what you do when you do it. At the end of the day, you find something that allows you to go home, sit down, reflect, and say, hey, I did that, and I love doing it. Enjoy what you do. You got one life to live, make the best of it.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If this is what you want to do, if this is something that makes you happy, do it. Don't do it because life is currently telling you to do it, or because someone says, oh, you have to go to college and get a degree. If you want to start a business, start a business. Whatever you've set your mind to, you can do it, but if that's what you know is going to make you happy at the end of the day, go for it.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge right now in the advertising space is keeping up with the business and keeping steady clientele when owning my own business. The biggest opportunity is that there's always room for growth and opportunities to continue to grow. It's not a field where you get stuck doing the same thing; there's always community to help you grow.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value family time, being able to enjoy what time I can get with my son, and I value people being able to work with people from all walks of life, both professionally and in my personal life.
