Her Interview
Ten minutes with Euniece
01What do you attribute your success to?
God first—and then the willingness to keep moving when the road does not look the way I expected it to look.
I have learned that faith does not eliminate hard work; it gives purpose to it. I pray, I prepare, I study, I work, I make mistakes, I learn, and I get back up. I also have people in my life who remind me who I am when the weight gets heavy.
And I do not measure success only by what I have accumulated. If what I build cannot reach back and help somebody else stand taller, then I have missed part of the assignment. That is one reason service through Let's Straighten That Crown Out matters so deeply to me. Success should leave evidence in lives other than your own.
These five together tell one story: faith → excellence → inclusion → courage → service.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Do the work as unto God.
That principle changed how I define success. A paycheck cannot be my standard. A title cannot be my standard. Even a satisfied client cannot be the entire standard, because sometimes clients do not know what they do not know. My responsibility is to bring integrity and excellence to the work whether anyone recognizes it or not.
I try to work today using everything I know today. If I learn something new tomorrow, I have a responsibility to incorporate that knowledge and become better. Careers evolve, businesses change, and opportunities come and go. Character travels with you through all of it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Learn everything you can, and never become so accomplished that you believe you have nothing left to learn. Bring excellence into the room before you ask the room to recognize you.
Do not build your career around applause, titles, or someone else's definition of success. Know your values, develop your expertise, understand the business behind your craft, and protect your integrity. You will make mistakes. Learn from them quickly and keep moving.
Most importantly, do not shrink yourself to make other people comfortable. There is room for your intelligence, your convictions, your creativity, and your leadership. Walk into that room prepared to contribute—not merely to be accepted.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest opportunities in beauty and personal care is recognizing the consumers the industry has historically expected to adapt rather than intentionally serve. People with ingredient sensitivities and allergies should not have to stand in an aisle reading every label wondering whether a product was designed with them in mind.
That challenge became an opportunity for DUNNARK. We are building personal-care products around intentional formulation, transparency, and meaningful choices, including coconut-free and nut-free options.
The opportunity is larger than selling another cleanser, moisturizer, or hair product. It is to demonstrate that inclusion can begin at formulation—not simply in advertising.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith, integrity, excellence, service, and accountability.
I believe our work should reflect the very best of what we know today. When we learn better tomorrow, we should do better tomorrow. I approach my work as though God Himself will inspect it, because ultimately, He is the One I answer to. That means doing what is right even when no one is watching, refusing to compromise people for profit, and using whatever success I am given to serve others.
Excellence, to me, is not perfection. It is stewardship—doing the absolute best you can with what has been placed in your hands.
