I attribute my success to the diverse experiences I've had living and working in Ecuador, New York, and Florida. Each place exposed me to different cultures and ways of thinking, which helped shape my perspective and adaptability. I began my career managing hotels, then spent 15 years in the business world before stepping away to raise my family. Eventually, I returned to healthcare—a field I truly love—because it allows me to care for others and make a meaningful impact every day.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to give your all to everything you do. When you lead with love, passion, and a positive attitude, not only does your work reflect that energy—it also comes back to you in even greater ways. Uplifting others, showing up with a smile, and giving back creates a ripple effect that elevates both your personal growth and those around you.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to believe in yourself and trust the process. When you work hard, keep growing, and lead with love in everything you do, success will follow. Your confidence and passion are powerful tools—use them boldly.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is limited staffing, which can stretch resources and impact time management. I often work 72-hour shifts, including overnights, to ensure I can still prioritize time with my family. As a mother, it’s important for me to be present and to serve as a strong role model for my daughter—showing her the value of hard work, balance, and resilience.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me most in both my work and personal life are honesty, respect, and the constant drive to grow. I strive to be a better version of myself every day—not just professionally, but as a person—so that my daughter can see what success looks like through integrity, compassion, and perseverance.
