Evelyn’s career trajectory reflects both rapid growth and deep expertise. She began as a Manager-in-Training at Village Green in Michigan, quickly advancing to operations and property management roles while mentoring new managers. Evelyn continued to expand her portfolio with Onni Group, gaining experience in owner-managed properties, before joining Chamberlain & Associates as Regional Property Manager in 2025, where she was nominated for Supervisor of the Year in 2026. Beyond her professional achievements, Evelyn is passionate about mentoring and community engagement. She holds a Master’s in Management from Davenport University and a Bachelor’s in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Public Administration and Sociology from Grand Valley State University. Evelyn’s dedication to people, process, and results continues to drive success across the communities she manages.

Ten minutes with Evelyn

01What do you attribute your success to?

I credit much of my success to my children, who have been my greatest motivation from a young age. Growing up with limited opportunities, I was determined to create a better future for them and myself. Earning a full-ride scholarship to Grand Valley allowed me to pursue my bachelor’s degree and set the foundation for my career. My family continue to inspire me to work hard and strive for growth in every aspect of my life.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to embrace change and cultivate a genuine love for learning, because every day brings new challenges and opportunities. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, do your research, and make your presence known. You know your craft and your industry—have the confidence to speak up respectfully, trust your instincts, and always stay true to your values.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are family, integrity, and providing opportunities and strong morals for my children. I also prioritize continuous learning, resourcefulness, and mentoring others, as I believe these values help me grow while supporting those around me.
