About Evelyn
Evelyn Teran is a Bible teacher, scholar, mentor, writer, podcaster, and Christian leader with more than two decades of experience in nonprofit ministry, pastoral care, and spiritual leadership. She is the founder and director of Centro Apostólico de Florida Inc., a bilingual organization dedicated to developing Christian leaders, providing mentorship, and equipping individuals and ministries to fulfill their God-given calling. Her ministry focuses on inner healing, deliverance, discipleship, Bible teaching, and leadership development, and she is recognized within the Hispanic Christian community for her teaching and outreach, including her “Buenas Nuevas” radio program.
Evelyn also has extensive experience in pastoral care and chaplaincy. She served more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy before retiring as a Navy Reservist and later worked for more than 12 years as a hospital chaplain in Central Florida, providing spiritual and pastoral support to individuals and families during times of crisis, grief, and transition. Her professional background includes crisis intervention, bereavement care, social services, nonprofit organizations, and chaplaincy education. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Christian Leadership from Florida Christian College and a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary’s Orlando campus, along with Clinical Pastoral Education training.
Throughout her career, Evelyn has remained committed to helping people discover their purpose, grow spiritually, and develop the confidence to use their gifts in service to others. She emphasizes education, authenticity, transparency, and spiritual discernment as essential qualities for effective Christian leadership. Her vision extends beyond building a successful organization; she seeks to establish a lasting legacy that equips leaders and creates meaningful impact across communities and nations. Through her teaching, mentoring, pastoral care, and global ministry work, Evelyn continues to encourage others to remain faithful to their calling while pursuing personal and spiritual growth.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to fulfilling my purpose and staying committed to the impact I am called to make. My goal is to build something meaningful and sustainable that creates opportunities today and leaves a lasting legacy for future generations.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice is to pursue education and never stop learning. In any field, especially Christian ministry and leadership, knowledge is essential to guiding and teaching others effectively. Know your path, set your goals, and follow your own star rather than someone else’s.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Transparency, authenticity, and continuous growth are the values that matter most to me. I believe in being honest about who I am, recognizing where I need to grow, and having the courage to let my voice be heard. I encourage others to trust what is within them and lead with authenticity.
