Evelyn Williams, PMP, PROSCI, MSOD, MBA, is a Strategic Change Management Architect and Principal Change Advisor / Executive Instructor at Prosci. Based in Olympia, Washington, she partners with leaders and organizations to architect scalable, enterprise-wide change strategies that translate bold “North Star” visions into practical, people-centered execution. Rooted in organization development, Evelyn designs inclusive change frameworks that move companies from fragmented efforts to unified, self-sustaining cultures where transformation is not only launched—but successfully adopted and sustained.

With deep expertise spanning utilities, mining, manufacturing, financial services, and higher education, Evelyn brings a rare ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical levels. She has led and supported complex, multi-year ERP and digital transformation initiatives, including Workday and PeopleSoft implementations, and integrates project management discipline with Prosci’s change methodology to drive measurable adoption and usage. Prior to joining Prosci, she served in senior organizational change roles at the University of Washington, TwinStar Credit Union, and the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges, where she built change architectures, coached executive sponsors, and embedded structured OCM practices into enterprise programs.

Evelyn holds a Master of Science in Organization Development from Pepperdine Graziadio Business School and an MBA in Project Management from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to listening to that still small voice and following the inner guidance I've been given. I'm a Christian, and I listen to the spirit. I was actually guided, even before I became a Christian, to go and do the extra training, to seek out that additional professional knowledge and get the ProSci training, to be able to get the certification to be an executive and work at that advanced instructor level. Even when I went to do the MSOD program, I followed that guidance, and it has led me toward making a difference, which is what I'm most grateful for and what truly motivates and inspires me to continue my journey in touching other people's lives and helping them be successful along their journey. If I had not done those things and followed that guidance, especially during times when there were reductions, those things made a difference. That is the part that I'm most grateful for.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to step into opportunities that stretch me beyond my comfort zone. When I was an integrated scheduler, Jamie Mark encouraged me to pursue project management and truly championed my growth, even continuing to support me after I left Boeing. I’m also deeply grateful to my mom, Cheryl, a retired nurse of 40 years, who always pushed me to value education, work hard, and stay humble. Their belief in me has shaped my confidence and career path.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would advise them to listen to that still small voice and follow the path that you're guided to. Don't be thinking about everything, the bright lights, and what people say is the thing to follow. I look to God to guide me, instead of looking at all of the things out in the world and the distractions. Follow that inner guidance, that voice inside you, and know that you're here for a purpose in life. Listen to that guidance and it will lead you to where you need to be.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The first thing that comes to mind is integrity. Without integrity, I think it's easy to fall into traps. Staying on the path and doing the right thing - you can feel it in your gut when something isn't right. That integrity is the one thing that I feel can help bring wisdom, and coupled with wisdom, it brings peace. So integrity is incredibly important to me. I feel that integrity, aligned with my faith and guidance from God, is what I bring forward in my personal world and in my career. My mother always championed me and told me the biggest thing was wanting me to be humble. She was always encouraging me about being humble, but also believing in myself - that I can do whatever it is that I'm here and led to do, and that's part of my purpose in life.
