About Ewa
I originally came from Sweden and have lived in London and Los Angeles before settling in New York. For 14 years, I worked in Manhattan in the luxury furniture, textiles, and showroom management industry for a French company called Lin Rose. In that role, I had staff and trained new associates, and I learned that they were most successful when they really followed up on all the trainings I provided. When the industry started facing challenges with tariffs and the company began doing layoffs, I decided it was time to make a change. A neighbor in my building who has been doing real estate for a long time had been wanting me to go into it, so I finally said okay, it's time to do my own thing. I'm brand new to real estate and just completed my training with REI New York, a great real estate training program that offers both in-person and Zoom options. They were very supportive, cheering me on and pushing me a little bit. I passed both my school test exam and my state exam on consecutive days, which I'm very excited about. Now I'm partnering with my neighbor, and since the phones ring a lot for her, I'm hopping on that end. We do open houses on weekends, I have buyer conversations with potential upcoming buyers, post open houses and listings on websites, and create marketing with interactive floor plans. I'm currently going through Fair Housing training to make sure I'm really equal in my conversations with any potential clients and don't fall into the holes that have existed in the past in this industry. I'm also a member of SWEA, the Swedish Women's Educational Association, a worldwide group for the Swedish community that does a lot of meetings and welcomes people who have moved to a new country or town, helping them not forget their roots.
