Fahima Hussain
Fahima Hussain is the Member Insights & Marketing Manager at the World Trade Centers Association, where she leads data-driven marketing strategies, membership engagement, and global communications initiatives that support a diverse international business network. In her role, she analyzes historical campaign and event data to inform programming for major convenings, including the annual Member Forum and Global Business Forum, with a focus on emerging trends such as the workplace-live model and community-centered economic development. She also supports marketing communications and website development, helping to strengthen connectivity and value across the organization’s global membership.
Her journey into marketing and community impact began in high school through Minds Matter, an experience that reshaped her perspective as someone from a background where women’s education was discouraged. Inspired by her mother’s interrupted education and by two female mentors who demonstrated what was possible in marketing and storytelling, she committed herself to creating opportunity and representation for others. During college, she worked with the Safe Passage Project supporting immigrants, participated in the NBC Minds Matter Media Fellows program where she gained exposure to corporate media and storytelling, and contributed to pitching creative concepts that developed into programming at NBC. She later helped establish a similar Media Fellows program for high school students at NBCUniversal, expanding access to media education and mentorship.
Fahima’s professional experience spans social impact, corporate marketing, and global engagement. She interned with Equitable in social impact and community engagement, collaborating with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, and contributed to initiatives at the World Trade Centers Association focused on sustainability and using resources for broader societal benefit beyond profit. Alongside her full-time role, she balances law school and a judicial internship, remaining committed to continuous growth and opportunity. One of her proudest achievements is serving as a keynote speaker for Minds Matter, where her speech helped raise $1 million in donations for the first time in the organization’s history. Looking ahead, she is determined to found a nonprofit dedicated to helping South Asian women navigate cultural barriers to justice, informed by her own experiences and those of her family.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to resilience, purpose, and a deep commitment to service. My journey began with Minds Matter, a formative high school experience that sparked my passion while I was growing up in a culture where education for women was not always encouraged. Since then, I have dedicated my career to giving back through work with the Boys & Girls Clubs, the Safe Passage Project, and strategic roles at the World Trade Center Association and NBC. I’ve also contributed to bringing innovative ideas to life, including a product concept similar to Snapchat Stories, which reinforced my belief in creativity and execution. One of my proudest moments was serving as a keynote speaker for Minds Matter, where my speech helped support $1 million in donations, made even more meaningful through my mentorship there. While I currently balance law school, a judicial internship, and a full-time role as a Member Insider Marketing Manager, I continue to carry these experiences with me. Looking ahead, I aspire to found my own nonprofit, as my greatest fulfillment comes from connecting with people and creating lasting change.
