Her Interview

Ten minutes with Faith

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say a strong family background, and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice was to find something that I'm good at and like at least 70% of the time, instead of looking for a passion or trying to do work that I love even if I wasn't getting paid.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You do not have to be a software coder to be in tech. But there's a lot of room for transferable skills in FinTech.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

AI is both a challenge and an opportunity because it raises serious ethical questions, is so pervasive that it can't be ignored, offers opportunity to use new technology, but is also a challenge as it is physically risky and not yet regulated.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my work, shared purpose, enjoy the people I work with, and mutual respect. In my personal life, as a foster parent, values center around family, chosen family, building strong deep relationships, and being inclusive.
