Her Story

About Faith

I'm a licensed life insurance agent working in the FinTech world, where I combine financial services with technology to help people understand how to leverage life insurance while they're still alive. I work independently but am affiliated with Global Financial Impact, and I'm licensed in five states: Arizona, Texas, New Mexico, Missouri, and Michigan. I chose these states because I know people there and because there's not enough information available to help people get protected - I want to be that voice for them. I work from home, which allows me to be present for my daughter who is autistic and whom I homeschool. Even though I work remotely, I personally market myself by going out and talking to people, businesses, realtors, and churches, because I believe that personal connection is really important. I've attended 103 funerals in my life, and I've seen firsthand the extraordinary financial loss families face when trying to figure out how to pay for everything. People run to GoFundMe to fund funerals, and I'm trying to educate them that life insurance isn't this doom and gloom thing - you can use it while you're alive. My biggest goal is to protect families from going through the massive amounts of debt that me and my family went into. I achieved my senior associate promotion within a month and a half, and I'm currently just steps away from becoming a marketing director. My boyfriend is a Navy vet, and he's helping me set up booths during veteran runs across the country so I can talk to veterans about insurance, because they need it but just don't know it. This is my first actual career, and even though I always thought I'd help people by being a nurse or working at the VA, I've found that I can still help people in a different way - and I absolutely love it.

Ten minutes with Faith

01What do you attribute your success to?

I am resilient. Very resilient. I don't give up. Like, I can make calls and reach out to people and get no's all day, but I won't give up. I will still get up in the morning and do it again. Because for every no that you get, there is a yes right around that corner. And you just never know what that yes is gonna be. I've got to protect family, I've got to protect my friends, I've got to protect complete strangers, and in the process of that, I'm also building my team. So I'm not just changing my life, I'm changing other people's lives.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My dad, who was an entrepreneur, used to tell me that in order to get somewhere, you have to invest in yourself. You always will be investing in yourself, so you have to trust yourself. That would be the best advice, because I've taken that with me through everything.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say my best advice is if you're willing to invest in yourself, and you're willing to put in the work, you will reap the reward. But you have to be willing to take the risk on yourself. And you have to be willing to invest in yourself when it comes to this world.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Communication. I feel like everybody thinks they're a good talker until we have to talk to a bunch of people. So, I think communication's big one. This gets hard working from home. Even though we work from home, and we are remote, we don't have to stay in our homes. We can get out and talk to people in the real world. We're very adamant about getting out and staying fit and getting out and talking to people.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The most important things to me are being able to help people. I've been through a lot - I've attended 103 funerals my entire life. I wanted to get out there and help people not go through what I went through. I want people to be able to grieve and not deal with such an extraordinary loss in trying to figure out how to pay for stuff. Like, people run to GoFundMe and use it to help fund funerals and stuff, and I'm trying to educate people that life insurance isn't this doom and gloom thing. You can use it while you're alive. You can use it, yeah, it's meant for when you pass, but it's not just for that. So getting out there and educating people on what they can do while they're still alive with it is super important. But protecting them from going through the massive amounts of debt me and my family went into is my biggest value, and my biggest why.
