About Faith
Faith Laird serves as Senior Strategy HR Partner in higher education in College Station, Texas. She brings roughly 20 years of HR experience to her role, with the past two years in higher education and one year in her current position. Her background centers on talent acquisition, primarily supporting technology organizations through digital transformations in corporate sectors such as financial services, manufacturing, and defense. Since joining higher education, she has contributed to talent acquisition for technology services before transitioning to her strategy role, where she is helping architect the organization's first HR strategic roadmap. Faith earned her degree from Texas A&M University as a political science major with a speech communication minor. She is currently pursuing her ProSci certification in change management. She attributes her success to hard work and a genuine enjoyment of building organizations, finding the right fit for people, and witnessing the symbiotic relationships that strengthen teams and entire organizations.

01What do you attribute your success to?
Hard work and enjoying doing a good job. I really enjoy finding the right fit for people and building organizations, seeing the symbiotic relationship of an entire team and organization come together.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be open to possibilities and follow your passion. Don't let anybody tell you that you can't be in that field. Remember your voice - you have a voice and it matters too. I thought I was going to go to law school but ended up in HR, which is adjacent to legal.
