Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a lifelong passion for healthcare and service. Beginning in Nigeria, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in food science, I have always strived to be a “superwoman” for those in need. Motivated by systemic inefficiencies, I moved to the U.S., mastered health informatics, and now work as an Epic consultant, empowering providers by turning complex healthcare software into tools that enhance patient care. One of my proudest achievements was leading the implementation of a streamlined healthcare system at a Nigerian hospital in 2015. I find the greatest fulfillment in overcoming resistance to change and witnessing the moment a process improvement lifts burdens, enabling caregivers to focus on what matters most.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to cultivate drive and persistence. These qualities are essential not only for making a meaningful impact in the lives of others but also for shaping and advancing your own career.
