Her Interview

Ten minutes with Fallyn

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being a student of my company and clients, applying knowledge, connecting the dots by seeing the bigger picture and working backwards from goals, collaborating with teams, leading by example, not burning bridges, sharing knowledge freely, and always answering the phone when needed so people trust and pull me into projects.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received is to be a student of your company and clients. Learn all you can because knowledge can't be taken away, only enhanced. Always be in a learning mindset and don't be arrogant thinking you know everything since there's always something to learn.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Learn your data and use the resources you have. Always make yourself better by looking to senior people for conversations and touchpoints. Meet with senior leadership or those you aspire to be like, learn their ways, and get to know them as they become advocates. Learn as much as you can and share your knowledge. Don't be afraid to be yourself but polish yourself to be authentic as well as professional - it shouldn't be a division between the two.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges are keeping up with ever-changing technology, staying organized with time and information, balancing properly to avoid overwhelm or burnout, raising your hand for help when needed, and not feeling intimidated by AI but leaning into it. Opportunities include sharing knowledge which leads to improved presenting skills, bringing fresh ideas like billboard campaigns or forums, growing your career, and helping young marketers behind you so the whole team grows and branches out.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is most important - moving with your own truth, being genuine, doing things not always for personal gain, with awareness and consideration. Treat everyone inclusively, provide the same opportunities without discrimination, keep things equal, create an environment where everyone can be their authentic self, put forth ideas, collaborate, and feel they are there for a purpose.
