About Falon

Falon Conti serves as Location Manager for Hub Group in Northeast Ohio, a role she has held for a little over a year. In this position, she coordinates deliveries and installations of major appliances for Home Depot, managing up to 45 trucks during peak periods like Black Friday and overseeing a staff of nine. With more than 20 years of combined experience in logistics and management, she previously worked in manufacturing as a team lead at GOJO, which produces Purell, and held management positions in the food industry. She graduated from high school in 2005 and attended Kent State University while in high school before dropping out in 2008. Falon is ServSafe certified, though she has not renewed the credential. She attributes her success to a strong support system outside of work and advises young women entering male-dominated fields to keep going, work hard, build character, and stand their ground.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Falon

01What do you attribute your success to?

Having a good support system outside of work has made me a stronger person for work. I know that if I want to succeed sometimes I have to do things that people don't like but it's what we're supposed to be doing and we kind of just adapt to it.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To keep going. Just because you've had some hiccups in the road or something, you know mostly male-dominated field doesn't mean that you can't do it. You have to work a little harder. In hindsight you're going to build your character and you're going to be stronger than you ever think that you can. Stand your ground if you firmly believe something.
