Her Story
About Farah 'Firefly'
I started my career as a physical therapist in 2006, then transitioned into music in 2008. My entrepreneurship venture, Firefly World, which combines music and wellness, has been in the works for a long time but officially launched in 2022, with all business licenses completed in 2024. As the founder and CEO of Firefly World, I work as an artist, singer, songwriter, speaker, and actor. My mission is to use art and creativity to be a better role model for pop culture, addressing the gap I experienced growing up where healthy lyrics and positive role models were missing from the music I loved. I write songs and deliver experiences that combine music, inspirational speaking, wellness, and teachings about the subconscious mind to help people develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, self-love, and self-confidence. The firefly concept represents everyone's inner light shining at their brightest self. I bring together my diverse background in physical therapy, health, wellness, neuroscience, music, and coaching to create unique Firefly experiences that help people feel more connected to themselves, others, and the world.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The most important thing is foundationally knowing, or at least striving to know, who you are and what you stand for. Fall in love with your strengths and weaknesses. Be your own anchor. If you can develop that as your foundation as early as possible, it will help be the best decision-making algorithm you could garner. It will help you go through the ups and downs of life and the journeys that are inevitable. It will help you go through the personnel fluctuations, and sometimes the closest people to you are not necessarily your biggest fans, and when you have that foundation, it doesn't hit as hard. I spent a lot of time on this journey without that foundation. One of my main goals is to help young girls, and people in general, just develop that sense of self and self-confidence and self-love underneath everything, irrespective of achievement, and learn to fall in love with just life and the process and themselves and all their uniqueness. So that everything else they decide to do, no matter what industry or any profession they want to follow, they can have that foundation to build upon, as opposed to trying to build it after the fact, like I did. Really learn how to love yourself, and learn how to set up your mindset, learn how your mind works, and how that affects your reality and your opportunities and everything, so that no matter where life takes you, you can be stable and secure through it as much as possible.
