Her Interview

Ten minutes with Faria

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

A negative comment telling me I should be in a different industry pushed me to prove them wrong and become the best version of myself. I turned it around without speaking to them again and showed that their opinion doesn't matter because they don't pay my bills.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

For women of a certain maturity, just be a good listener. There is no competition, let it go. Look after yourself, your health, because you've only got one life. Nobody's got a gun to your head, so why not look after yourself?

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Trust, empathy, listening, and not always needing to be right. It's okay to admit when you don't know something and offer to find out. These qualities are vital in any role, including sales which exists in every industry.
