Her Interview

Ten minutes with Fatima

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my parents, teachers and especially my grandfather, whose influence, guidance, and example helped shape the person I am today.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve received is to never let my dreams go dull. I believe in always aspiring toward what I dreamed of, continuing to look for opportunities, and never stopping my pursuit of growth and purpose.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to keep an open mind and believe in their own worth. As women, we have the ability to lead, influence our communities, and make a meaningful impact in both our careers and families. Never underestimate the value you bring to the world.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Gender bias continues to be a significant challenge. There are still situations where a man can make a statement and it is accepted without question, while a woman may face more scrutiny or be asked to explain herself further. I believe this also presents an opportunity for women to continue using their voices, leading with confidence, and challenging those expectations.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me are kindness, compassion, and staying human. No matter how successful I become or where life takes me, I believe it is important to treat people with respect, lead with kindness, and never lose sight of our shared humanity.
