About Felicia

Felicia Cousar Alexander is an accomplished global supply chain and logistics executive with more than three decades of experience spanning aerospace and defense, transportation, logistics, international operations, sales, strategy, and supply chain management. She currently serves as Senior Director, Global Supply Chain at Northrop Grumman, where she provides strategic leadership for complex, enterprise-wide supply chain initiatives. Throughout her career, Alexander has progressed from her early experience in shipping and logistics into increasingly senior roles encompassing customer engagement, business development, sales, marketing, operational excellence, and enterprise supply chain strategy. Her expertise includes global logistics, transportation management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, business integration, digital transformation, change management, and operational performance improvement.

Alexander has built her career around transforming complex operations, developing high-performing teams, and creating sustainable business solutions. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman, she held leadership positions with organizations including A.P. Moller-Maersk (Damco), DB Schenker, DHL Global Forwarding, Panalpina, Ryder, and the Port of Oakland. Her experience includes managing large-scale logistics networks, developing strategic customer and supplier relationships, and guiding organizations through operational and organizational transformation. She is also a Prosci Certified Change Practitioner and has pursued additional education in systems engineering and project management. A graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara, Alexander has complemented her corporate career with more than a decade of teaching experience as an adjunct professor at California State University, Long Beach.

Beyond her professional achievements, Alexander is deeply committed to mentorship, education, philanthropy, and community leadership. She currently serves as a Trustee for the San Bernardino City Unified School District and as a Board Member of the Inland Empire Community Foundation, and she previously served as President of the Assistance League of San Bernardino. She and her husband have also dedicated significant effort to community initiatives through the Alexander Family Foundation and the San Bernardino Turkey Trot, supporting scholarships and local organizations. Alexander credits her parents as major influences, her children as a source of motivation, and her faith as a foundation for how she leads and serves. Her philosophy centers on humility, authenticity, purposeful leadership, and giving back—principles that continue to shape her impact in the workplace and throughout the community.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the influence of my parents, who have always been my greatest inspiration, and to my children, who continue to be my greatest motivation. Their example and support have encouraged me to pursue excellence while remaining grounded in my values. My faith has been the foundation of my journey, providing me with strength, purpose, and perspective throughout my career and personal life. I strive to be a positive example and an inspiration to others, leading with integrity, humility, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay humble, remain true to myself, and never forget where I come from. I believe success should never change the values and principles that guide you. Staying grounded, honoring my journey, and maintaining my faith have helped me navigate challenges, make meaningful decisions, and lead with authenticity and purpose.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay humble, remain true to yourself, and never forget where you come from. Build your career with confidence and purpose, but stay grounded in the values that shaped you. Stay centered, remain focused on your goals, and allow your faith to guide you through challenges and opportunities. Above all, embrace every opportunity to learn, grow, and make a positive impact while remaining authentic to who you are.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges and opportunities in global supply chain management are centered on anticipating disruptions, strengthening supplier relationships, and maintaining clear, effective communication across complex organizations. In an increasingly interconnected environment, supply chain leaders must remain agile, proactive, and strategic while navigating uncertainty and changing market conditions. I see every challenge as an opportunity to innovate, strengthen resilience, improve collaboration, and develop solutions that create lasting value for the organization and its partners.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my professional and personal life are faith, family, community, service, and health and wellness. My relationship with God provides the foundation for how I lead and make decisions, while my family keeps me grounded and motivated. I believe strongly in giving back and using my time, talents, and resources to make a positive difference in the lives of others and in my community. I also value health and wellness as essential to maintaining the energy, balance, and perspective needed to live and lead with purpose.
