About Felicia

Felicia Smith has approximately 10 years of experience in human resources, having entered the field after initially pursuing a career in law. She earned an associate degree in paralegal studies, followed by a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in management, and an MBA with a concentration in human resource management from Robert Morris University (Morris Graduate School of Management) in 2014. In her most recent role, she led HR operations and talent acquisition operations, building strategic teams, designing and facilitating enterprise trainings for recruitment teams, and advising executive leadership on mitigating risk related to legislation and policies in the banking industry. Felicia is passionate about leadership that emphasizes servitude, balance, and respect for diverse backgrounds and perspectives. She also leads a women's empowerment group, which she launched in early 2025, organizing initiatives with community partners, partnering with local churches, and facilitating women's conferences to support and empower women in their personal and professional lives. Her advice to young women entering the industry is to remain humble and teachable, find and grow their confidence, give themselves grace to learn, and view others' achievements as inspiration rather than comparison.

Ten minutes with Felicia

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Remain humble and teachable. Find your confidence and allow it to grow. Give yourself grace to learn and never compare where you are versus what you see, but look to that as aspiration and inspiration.

02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I believe in servitude and service. I value balance and respect for one another in the workplace, respecting our different backgrounds, opinions, and ways of accomplishing tasks. I believe in filling one's cup and having an open-door policy.
