Her Interview
Ten minutes with Felicity
01What do you attribute your success to?
All of my success, I feel like came from Christ. I'm grounded in faith, and I believe that God will pull you through anything. Even when you're not sure what's gonna happen, having that faith and confidence in yourself is what carries you forward. Being your most genuine self is something that has always stuck with me - if someone doesn't appreciate that in an interview, then that might not be the best place for you to work anyway. I also value honesty and dedication in everything I do, both in my work and personal life.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Something that always stuck with me was to be your most genuine self. If someone doesn't appreciate that in an interview, then that might not be the best place for you to work anyway. This advice has really shaped how I approach my career and the opportunities I pursue. It's helped me stay true to who I am while navigating the professional world.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say to them to always be confident in yourself, even when you're not sure what's gonna happen, because God will pull you through anything. There are definitely setbacks and opportunities alike for women going into business. A good setback for women would be being taken seriously, but that also is a challenge that pushes me further to beat that. So use those challenges as motivation to forge through and prove yourself.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I think there are setbacks and opportunities alike for women going into business. Probably a good setback for women would be being taken seriously, but that also is a challenge that pushes me further to beat that. In my field, there's definitely more men in leadership than women - probably around 75% to 80% are men. So the challenge of being taken seriously as a woman in corporate leadership is real, but it's also an opportunity to break through and prove what we're capable of.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are honesty and dedication. I've always wanted to help people and be someone that someone could rely on and lean on. Being genuine and authentic is crucial to me - I believe in being your most genuine self in everything you do. My faith is also central to who I am, as I believe that God will pull you through anything, and all of my success comes from Christ.
