Fiorella Amado: I'm Fiorella Mado, a somatic intelligence strategist and executive wellness consultant. To me, influence is not measured by how many people know your name. It is measured by what becomes possible for others because you were willing to use your voice. As a Latina immigrant with indigenous roots, I have often been the only woman who looks like me in the room. Being an influential woman means opening that door wider for other Latinas, immigrants, and women with indigenous roots who are crossing borders, beginning again, and building lives and businesses of their own. I may be the first in some roles, but I'm committed to to not being the last.

What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?

Fiorella Amado: The piece of advice I would give to a younger woman chasing her dreams is this do not build your dream by abandoning yourself. When I was younger, I believed success meant working harder, saying yes, carrying more, and proving that I could handle everything. And I became very good at it. From the outside, I looked capable, successful, but I was not listening to what my body was carrying. Eventually, that disconnection led me to burn out. So before focusing only on building your career, your company, or the impact you want to make, learn how to create a sense of safety within your own body. Learn what genuinely noticed you, what depletes you, what your yes and your no feel like, and practice honoring those signals. This doesn't need to be complicated. Before leaving your bed in the morning, place your hands on your womb take a few conscious breaths and ask yourself one question. What do I need today to remain connected to myself? Think of yourself a space to receive an honest response. Taking care of yourself is not the reward you receive after becoming successful. It is the foundation from which sustainable success is created. When you feel safe and supported within yourself, you develop a greater capacity to take risks, make clear decisions, use your voice and move through uncertainty without losing who you are. So dream boldly, build meaningful things, open the doors for yourself and for others, but take care of yourself first.
