Flor Gomez

I've been working at Robbins Schwartz for almost 4 years now, with about 5 years total experience in the HR field. As a Senior Human Resources Generalist, I handle the complete employee journey from start to finish. I'm the first person candidates speak to when they apply, and I'm the last person they speak to if they decide to leave the firm. My role encompasses processing payroll for the entire firm, managing all 401K transmissions, conducting full-cycle recruiting, and handling all onboarding and offboarding processes. I also manage employee evaluations and oversee all benefits administration, making sure we stay current with new offerings. Compliance is a key part of what I do, ensuring we remain in line with all labor and employment laws. Beyond my core HR responsibilities, I serve as chair of our firm's DEI committee, where we spotlight different causes each month. This month we focused on Autism Awareness Month, sharing books, shows, and organizations that support the cause so others can get involved too. I'm certified through SHRM and work closely with law schools throughout the Chicago area, participating in job fairs and coordinating externship programs that allow law students to clerk with us while earning academic credits.
