With more than 24years of experience in media and broadcasting, I’ve built a career rooted in connection, storytelling, and helping businesses grow. My passion for this industry began early, inspired by the powerful way media brings people and communities together.

I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts, with a focus on Journalism, Broadcasting, and Communications. While in college, I gained hands-on experience working with WIS TV in Columbia and earned an internship with ESPN, where I covered the Darlington Southern 500—interviewing fans and capturing the energy of one of NASCAR’s most iconic events.

Over the years, I’ve worked across multiple areas of media, including television, magazines, and radio. My professional journey has also included time with Nielsen, the leading television ratings company, as well as experience in real estate with my family’s business. These roles have given me a strong foundation in marketing strategy, audience engagement, and relationship-driven growth.

For the past nine years, I’ve been in radio broadcasting, where I manage sales, marketing, and digital advertising, while also co-hosting a weekly Friday morning on-air segment. I’m proud to be the top revenue generator across my entire company, consistently leading in new business and overall performance.

Beyond my professional work, I am deeply involved in my community. I partner with our local hockey team on corporate sponsorships and organize fundraising events and golf tournaments that support nonprofits throughout the region. I also serve as an ambassador for the Florence Chamber of Commerce and have been actively involved on various city boards, including hospitality and grant committees.

I’m passionate about building meaningful relationships, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities that make a lasting impact—both professionally and within the community I’m proud to serve.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of consistency, strong relationships, and a genuine passion for helping others grow. I’ve always believed that when you focus on delivering real value and showing up every day with purpose, the results will follow. Building trust, staying adaptable, and never being afraid to outwork the competition have been key to everything I’ve achieved.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to focus on relationships over transactions. When you genuinely invest in people, build trust, and consistently deliver value, success follows naturally. That mindset has shaped the way I do business and has been a key driver in my long-term success.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Know your worth and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself. Be prepared, stay consistent, and follow through—those three things will set you apart quickly. Also, don’t take rejection personally; in sales and media, it’s part of the process. The key is to stay focused, keep showing up, and keep moving forward.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge right now is the shift from traditional media to digital and the changing way audiences consume content. Listeners are spread across radio, streaming, and podcasts, and clients expect more measurable results than ever before.

The opportunity is in that evolution. Radio still offers unmatched local reach and trust, and when you combine it with digital strategies, it becomes incredibly powerful. The key is being able to adapt, stay relevant, and create integrated campaigns that truly drive results.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me—both professionally and personally—are integrity, consistency, and relationships. I believe in doing what I say I’m going to do and showing up every day with purpose. Building trust and maintaining strong relationships has been at the core of my success, and I carry that same mindset into my personal life. I also value resilience and gratitude, because both have shaped who I am and how I approach every opportunity.
