About Folashade

Folashade Oloye is the CEO and founder of Cashmere Luxe Hair Salon and Cashmere Luxe Hair Products in Rochester, Minnesota. She opened the salon in 2017 after identifying a need for stylists specializing in natural ethnic hair and launched the hair care products line in 2018, formulating items such as shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, leave-in sprays, and styling products focused on textured hair, hair loss, and moisture retention. As a licensed hairstylist and cosmetologist who trained in the 1990s, Oloye also holds a master's degree in business management and administration, which she combines with her industry expertise to run the business, offer custom wigs, and provide training through a 12-week natural hair care and braiding course. She is a member of the Minnesota Black Chamber and a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Black Women cohort 9 graduate who completed the program in July. Oloye has received the 2022 Rochester Best Business Award and the 2024 NAACP Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and she contributes to the community through Hair Therapy talks at universities and self-confidence building classes for children ages 5 to high school.
