Fonda Tanner, MBA, PhD student, and entrepreneur is a seasoned operations and project management professional with extensive experience in consulting, energy, healthcare, IT, mental health, homelessness, and real estate sectors. As a business professional, former real estate agent, and entrepreneur, she leverages her expertise to connect people, drive operational excellence, implement transformative initiatives, and optimize project outcomes for organizations across North America and globally. She enjoys connecting people, processes, and tools.

As an entrepreneur, BiznetMS is a small business that provides various services such as home health, home health consulting, business consulting, project management, and think tank workshops (in partnership with Las Vegas Clark County Library). Fonda’s career is marked by a strong track record in managing complex programs and projects. She assisted in establishing Project Management Offices (PMOs) in Germany and in remote US locations. Creating innovative solutions and education that enhance efficiency and effectiveness are her core objectives. In addition to her corporate and consulting work, Fonda is deeply committed to community outreach and engagement. She has supported numerous charitable initiatives, including homelessness outreach in Nebraska and Las Vegas, organ donation awareness with Live On Nebraska, foster care support, and Habitat for Humanity projects. She has also served on boards such as Nebraska Board of Nursing, United Way Heartland Blueprint Board Training program, GLASS Leadership Institute, and IOTA Phi Lambda Sorority INC., mentoring and empowering emerging leaders in her community.

Her dedication to service underscores her belief in creating impact beyond the workplace one person at a time. Currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management/Project Management at Capella University, Fonda uses this knowledge to expand her reach and influence in the fields of project management, operations, healthcare, business development, and strategic consulting. Fonda is passionate about mentoring women, building minority and women-owned businesses, and exploring innovative solutions to global business challenges. She is looking forward to breaking into teaching next.

Outside of work, Fonda enjoys traveling, spontaneous road trips, thrift shopping, connecting with nature, and finding inspiration in every experience to drive both personal and professional growth.

I attribute my success to resilience, continuous learning, and the ability to adapt across several industries. I also credit knowledge sharing, building meaningful relationships, and seeking opportunities to create impact in every role I take on.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don’t ever take yourself too seriously, be willing to laugh at yourself. Enjoy the process, and define your own journey.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be kind to yourself and embrace every day as a new opportunity. Every day…is a new day. Don’t be afraid to take risks, learn from failures, and advocate for your place in the world. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are key to growth and sustainability.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunities are centered in business transformation, global project management, and establishing women-owned and minority-owned businesses in government contracting. Challenges include navigating complex change management initiatives and standardizing processes across global teams.

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Transparency, collaboration, flexibility, continuous learning, and community engagement are core values I prioritize. I also value making a meaningful impact through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and supporting causes that empower underserved communities.
