Her Interview
Ten minutes with Fran
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my dad who built a very successful business on his own. He was a very honest, ethical, classy man that I looked up to. I love people and relationships, and traveling at a young age taught me independence.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
One quote that I received early on was 'Quitters don't win, and winners don't quit.' With work, sometimes you feel like you want to quit, but plowing through it you achieve better success. You gotta stay on target and not quit.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Take it slow. Don't try to do everything all at once. It's good to have a specialty so you can be an expert at that. Take as many opportunities to travel as you can, especially in your 20s, 30s, 40s. Make contacts with people in the industry because relationships are very key.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The industry is oversaturated with younger advisors coming in who are connected via social media. Prices are exorbitantly high now compared to when I started. There are many new places and properties opening up since COVID which is exciting, but you have to stay on top of it all.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Do the right thing, be very honest and ethical. I live a healthy life and try to share wellness knowledge with people. I have been into the wellness industry since the 80s doing spa trips.
