Her Story
About Fran
I've been a coach for 10 years, working independently the entire time. My journey into coaching came naturally - people have always told me stuff. After being downsized in 1998, I never went back to corporate America on the employee side. I had an organic gift basket company, a business consulting company, and a couple other ventures. I gave in to the divine and the desires - if I was going to continue to have people share things with me, then I needed to become professional. I have a very diverse corporate background including insurance, technology, business, and communications. I've owned a business consulting company, a high-end organic gift basket company, been one of the silent owners of a benefits insurance group, and part owner of a small construction company. Going to school later in life kind of pulled all that together, and I didn't really realize it until I sat back and looked at it - it's all been about people and behaviors and things that we do. I do analysis and discovery very well. To get to any solution, you have to get through the clutter, and I do that very quickly. I've been told time and time again that I give people a very safe place to explore. I help small business owners when they're wanting to expand and help them hone their viewpoints about what they want to do. Everything is heart-centered - I don't care what logic you put behind anything, if people are going to do something, they're going to do it out of passion. The way people do business is the way they live. I bring education, intuition, and experience to the table with the ability to discover and analyze in a different way. I work very well with athletes and with coaching managers and coaches at the collegiate and professional level. I'm currently in the process of rebranding and looking at how to approach my business from a very different narrow focus perspective, including an initiative that will involve women in coaching related to women and mindset, longevity, and health.

01What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I believe in being true to yourself and following what's in your heart. I don't want to regret anything when I look back at my life - I want to know I lived authentically. I'm a necessity, not a priority - priority's a list that can be changed, and if I'm not here, who's going to do me? I believe we all have a gift and that women are not taught to embrace who they truly are. Everything is heart-centered - I don't care what logic you put behind anything, if people are going to do something, they're going to do it out of passion. The way people do business is the way they live. I believe in designing your life in a way that allows you to flow with what happens and make changes on your own terms. Age is a tool, like money is a tool - your beliefs in your heart are going to drive you to success or stagnation. I believe in giving yourself permission to fulfill things and say yes to opportunities, and not being afraid of yourself or what's in your heart.
