About Francesca

I am a mental health advocate, nonprofit founder, and graduate student dedicated to suicide prevention and mental health awareness. I am the Founder and President of Inspiring My Generation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization I established in March 2020 with a mission of suicide prevention through awareness, conversation, education, and support. Through this work, I have spoken at conferences, collaborated with organizations like NAMI and IDONTMIND, and been featured in media outlets for my advocacy efforts, all driven by a deep commitment to saving lives and breaking the stigma around mental health.

I have also been blogging since May 2011, sharing insights into my mental health journey, daily life, lessons I am learning, and tools I am utilizing on my personal website. My blog, originally titled "Inspiring My Generation," evolved into the nonprofit organization, and I continue to use my platform to normalize the ups and downs of mental health as I navigate life as a young adult, graduate student, business owner, and advocate.

From March 2020 to June 2024, I served as a Crisis Counselor at Crisis Text Line, where I provided real-time support to individuals in crisis, helping them navigate moments of distress and connect with resources for ongoing support. I also served as an Associations Management Intern at Paragon Events, Inc., where I gained experience in event planning, coordinating, marketing, management, and production for corporate meetings and events.

I hold a Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology, which I completed in June 2025, and a Master of Science in Information Systems and Operations Management from the University of Florida, which I completed in 2020.

Across my work in advocacy, nonprofit leadership, crisis counseling, and education, I am driven by a passion for helping others, fostering connection, and creating a world where mental health is openly discussed and supported. Whether I am leading a nonprofit, blogging about my journey, or supporting someone in crisis, I believe in the power of conversation, community, and compassion to save lives and inspire change. I am proud of the work I have done and excited to continue making a difference in the mental health space.
