Her Story

About Francesca

Francesca Zampaglione is a keynote speaker and former Deloitte executive based in Marlton, New Jersey. She began her career in accounting more than 25 years ago, earning an accounting degree from Widener University before becoming a certified public accountant. At Deloitte she served as a leader and instructor, and she later led continuing education programs at the CPA Association. Since departing that organization in 2017, she has worked independently as a keynote speaker, developing content, rehearsing with peers, and delivering presentations that provide audiences with immediately implementable frameworks. Zampaglione emphasizes simplicity, consistency, and gratitude in both her professional and personal approach, and she advises emerging professionals that careers often follow a zigzag path rather than a straight line.

Ten minutes with Francesca

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I received was to go with my gut. When deciding between public accounting firm offers after college, my mentor Judy advised me to choose where I felt most comfortable. This intuition-based approach has guided my decisions for decades since.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Careers are not always a straight line; they are a zigzag. If something feels out of alignment, commit and own it because there is a skill to be gained until the next step. Do not get easily frazzled or disappointed, understand what you are in alignment with.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Opportunities for speaking at conferences are incredibly great. The challenge is getting on that stage and putting yourself out there, which takes time. Building relationships and making connections is key, and then it flows. The opportunity is showing up and delivering an impactful keynote with a framework that can be implemented right away.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Simplicity is very important to maintain calm and break things down when overwhelming. Consistency in showing up for myself, clients, and rehearsal partners. Gratitude for where I am today, how far I have come, and the simple things in life.
