Francisca Marie Morales

Senior United States Probation Officer
United States Probation Office
El Paso, TX

I began my professional journey as a support clerk with the United States Probation Office. Although I was just a year away from completing my bachelor’s degree, I stepped back to care for my father. After the sudden loss of my mother, I returned to school in her honor, ultimately earning both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Today, I serve as a Senior United States Probation Officer, combining personal resilience with a deep commitment to public service.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

My professional journey has been deeply shaped by the memory of my mother. After beginning as a support clerk with the United States Probation Office, I faced personal challenges when I paused my education to care for my father. After unexpectedly losing her, I made a promise in her honor to return to school. Her strength and love drove me to earn both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Today, as a Senior United States Probation Officer, I carry her spirit with me, dedicating my work to justice, resilience, and service.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

To young women entering the probation or justice field, my advice is never to settle for less than you deserve. Embrace your ambitions, pursue continuous learning, and never doubt your value. Challenges will come, but let your passion, your resilience, and your commitment drive you forward. You belong here—don’t ever let anyone make you feel otherwise.
