Her Story
About Fritzie
Fritzie Lopez built a formal career as a professor spanning over 18 years after beginning in ESL instruction to help students learn English and citizenship. She earned her master's degree and taught at Austin Community College in Texas as well as in Irvine, California. After life changes including raising children in a blended family, Lopez was retired from her roles as educator and counselor by her husband three years ago. She now channels her energy into writing, with a book in the middle of publication, and producing her podcast Noodle on That, which addresses topics such as the messy middle of life, menopause, and the power of transition and change to educate and empower women. A Latina who grew up on the south side of Chicago with parents who immigrated from Guatemala, Lopez credits the grit from her upbringing for her success and remains active in organizations like MOPS while living in Temecula, California.

Ten minutes with Fritzie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would have to say that I would attribute that to the lifestyle back in the day, and that's one thing that I try to teach out to young adults... grit of what my parents... I grew up in a time where we had no choice. We had to be outside, we had to figure it out. That grit was installed... because that was just the way of life back then.
