Ten minutes with Gabriela

01What do you attribute your success to?

Understanding what brings me joy and finding purpose in helping people. My background is in finance but my strength is in people skills, and I focus on making a real difference in others' lives through mentorship, inclusion initiatives, and supporting career progression.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Understand what brings you joy first, because from there you can build any skill and accomplish wonderful things. Purpose is sustainable even as markets and technology like AI change. Empathy and human connection are irreplaceable skills that AI cannot fulfill.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

AI is changing the market rapidly and creating challenges around skills relevance, but it also highlights the enduring value of human skills like empathy and connection that technology cannot replace. The key is to focus on purpose so you can adapt and add value regardless of new tools or trends.
