Her Story
About Gabriella
Gabriella Carrocci is an Educational Facilitator with the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center, where she supports students through individualized educational interventions and skill development. Her work includes helping children strengthen reading and math abilities while addressing their academic, behavioral and social-emotional needs. Her experience working with children who have experienced trauma has shaped her compassionate, student-centered approach to education.
Gabriella earned a Bachelor of Science in Developmental Psychology from The Ohio State University, where she was involved in BuckeyeThon, the Block O Football Committee and Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Special Education and Teaching at Muskingum University, further developing her expertise in elementary education and special education. Her professional journey also includes experience as a Student Supervisor with Legends and an Office Assistant with NCI-Nursing Corps.
One of Gabriella’s most meaningful accomplishments has been working one-on-one with a young student facing significant learning and behavioral challenges. Through personalized instruction and consistent support, she helped the student make meaningful progress and transition into a foster family and regular public school environment. Beyond her professional responsibilities, Gabriella has contributed to community initiatives through volunteer work, including teaching Italian and supporting pediatric cancer fundraising efforts. She is passionate about community, diversity and inclusion and is committed to creating supportive learning environments where students can build confidence and thrive.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my supportive parents, who encouraged me to lead my own path while guiding me through challenges. They taught me to be independent, respectful, and confident in my decisions.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to remember that I am here for a reason and never let anyone make me believe otherwise. Staying confident in my purpose has helped me navigate challenges and move forward with conviction.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Follow the direction where your gifts and strengths lead you, and don’t be afraid to pivot or change course. Find purpose in your current position while staying open to new opportunities—you can create your own path and make your own way in the world.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Community, inclusion, and service are the values that guide me in both my work and personal life. Being raised in a small community taught me the importance of connection and giving back. I strive to embrace diversity, create inclusive environments, and ask myself each day how I can serve others and make a positive difference.
