About Gabriella
Gabriella M. Paez-Ramirez is the Founder and Chief Executive of Mave, INC, a behavioral health technology company focused on making personalized support more accessible. Based in Miami, Florida, Gabriella combines experience in technology, executive operations, and systems thinking to develop products that address real-world gaps in behavioral health. As a solo founder and sole engineer, she has built Mave from the ground up, including its app, backend, and AI integrations. Before founding Mave, Gabriella spent nearly a decade working across television and film, including as a key costumer and wardrobe supervisor. She later transitioned into executive support and operations, serving as an Executive Assistant at Creative Artists Agency and as a coordinator at NBCUniversal. These experiences taught her how to manage complexity, anticipate needs, navigate demanding environments, and maintain a complete view of interconnected responsibilities—skills that ultimately shaped the framework behind Mave. Gabriella created Mave first as a solution for herself, envisioning the personal advisory system she wished she had. She taught herself the technical skills necessary to code and build. She transformed that framework into a product without a technical co-founder or outsourced development team. Her work is driven by discipline, access, and a belief that people deserve meaningful support when they need it. Through Mave, Gabriella is working toward a broader behavioral health infrastructure that understands people in context and helps them make meaningful changes in their lives.

I attribute my success to turning personal experiences into meaningful opportunities, staying resilient, and spearheaded.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is simple: go for it. When you have an idea or desire, take action, learn along the way, and don’t hold back.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to start now and trust yourself. Take the leap, embrace the journey, and let yourself be surprised by what you’re capable of achieving.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field is bridging the gap between clients and practitioners, especially when traditional therapy doesn’t fully meet their needs. This gap inspired the creation of our company.
