Her Story
About Gabriella
Gabriella Malka Shraga is an Executive Designer and Business Development & Strategic Partnerships professional at Shragatex Inc., a family denim company based in Beverly Hills, California. She has approximately three years of experience in the textiles and fashion apparel industry, with work spanning design, sales, business development, and strategic partnerships. Since joining Shragatex in 2023, she has focused on fostering collaborations, identifying opportunities, strengthening partner relationships, and supporting strategic initiatives that contribute to organizational growth.
Gabriella has played an important role in expanding Shragatex's creative direction, including establishing its design department and developing its focus on women's apparel. Her approach treats denim as more than a traditional casual fabric, exploring its potential through custom blends, washes, structure, movement, and elevated design. Her creative influences include Christian Dior, Chanel, and Celine, and she is particularly interested in how designers can transform materials into distinctive expressions of identity, femininity, and luxury. Her work also reflects an interest in textile innovation, sustainability, and the evolving role of denim within contemporary fashion.
Beyond fashion and business development, Gabriella is a writer who interviews women and explores their experiences, with an emphasis on empowerment, femininity, and personal growth. Her interest in storytelling was influenced by receiving a high school writing award from a teacher who recognized her potential, an experience that helped inspire her continuing passion for writing and interviewing others. She attributes her development to her faith, her mother, and influential women and mentors in her life. Her professional and personal values center on honesty, loyalty, positivity, meaningful relationships, and pursuing opportunities without unnecessarily limiting what is possible.

Ten minutes with Gabriella
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith and to the influential women who have been part of my life, particularly my mother and other mentors. They have helped me understand different aspects of womanhood, encouraged me to recognize my capabilities, and inspired me to continue pursuing what I am capable of achieving.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have received is to live as though there are no limitations on what I can pursue. I believe it is important to imagine what is possible, pursue the goals that genuinely matter to me, and make choices that I will be proud of when I look back on my life.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering fashion, design, or writing is to develop a strong understanding of who they are and to connect deeply with their femininity and individual identity. That inner understanding can strengthen creative expression, improve how we connect with others, and allow us to approach our work with greater authenticity. I encourage young women to know themselves, trust their perspective, and allow that understanding to shape the work they create.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the challenges I see in fashion and writing is building meaningful networks and finding the right opportunities. Rejection can be difficult, but I believe it can also be a step toward discovering better connections and opportunities. Rather than viewing every rejection as a failure, I try to see it as part of the process of finding the people and opportunities that are the right fit.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty, loyalty, and positivity are especially important to me in business and in my professional relationships. In my personal life, I value meaningful relationships and quality over quantity when it comes to friendships and family. I believe that genuine connections are built through trust, loyalty, and a positive approach to life.
