About Gabrielle
I'm an attorney specializing in commercial real estate finance, based in New York and handling transactions across the United States. I graduated from law school in 2020 and began my career at Arnold & Porter, where I worked primarily in real estate finance. During my time at the law firm, I had my two children and gained valuable experience representing clients in complex real estate transactions. Growing up in New York, I was always fascinated by the city's skyscrapers and the intricate debt structures that support these massive buildings. My husband also works in commercial real estate, so we share a passion for the industry - we're very nerdy in that respect and often discuss our work. After several years at Arnold & Porter, I wanted to broaden my perspective and understand the institutional lender side better, so I transitioned in-house to Capital One's commercial bank about a year and a half ago. In my current role, I serve as an advisor to various business teams, providing legal guidance on healthcare real estate transactions, structured finance deals, data center projects, and traditional commercial real estate lending. I'm very active in mentoring young professionals, particularly those in or graduating from law school, helping them navigate their career paths and understand their options in the field. I also participate in the CREFC mentor-mentee program and similar initiatives at Capital One. My family and I live in New York near my in-laws and parents, which provides us with an amazing support system. Being born and raised here, and now raising my own children in the city, New York holds a very special place in my heart.
