Ten minutes with Gail

01What do you attribute your success to?

LOVING GOD. Being Me. Understanding that we all grow and learn in every moment. Never Give Up. You dont have to tell the world what you are doing. Wait till its finished. Respect yourself and others. Life is not personal. We may think these things are simple but its not

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I receive in my field is to be myself, work hard, and that working hard will always be something that matters. Not to prove yourself, but just something that you choose, because everything in life is a choice.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be clear this is what you want to do... make sure it's what you want to do... be very clear before you jump into something... look at a few things you want to do, go explore them first. Pick the 5 top companies they'd be interested in, and contact the CEOs.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

People connecting with self and authenticity. The difference with people understanding life challenges that build their capacity and growth to learn and live; and real mental challenges from trauma or health issues. Knowing the distinct difference. Healing from within and understanding, that's how we grow, and we can't skip over with shortcuts. We have social media telling us through quotes to take the shortcuts and that we are right and dont listen to others. We Learn who we are by how we show up with others. This is what I think is coming up in the workplace the most.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

What's important to me is people coming together. Seeing the same in each other... I believe that we have to look at where we are, that we're all responsible people, and work together... across ages and cultures, especially the gap in ages.
