Gail Harris is an award-winning women’s memoirist, certified ghostwriter, and founder of Golden Ghostwriting, dedicated to amplifying women’s voices through compelling storytelling. With over 30 years of experience in writing, advertising, and publishing, Gail has spent her career helping authors realize the full potential of their manuscripts, specializing in women’s memoir and narrative nonfiction. Her mission is both personal and political: she believes that when women share their stories, growth happens not only individually but collectively, fostering thought leadership and empowerment.

Gail’s approach centers on finding the “gold” in each story—the unique theme or insight that sets a manuscript apart and determines the most impactful publishing path. She applies this philosophy not only as a ghostwriter but also as an advertising copywriter, author, and mentor. Early in her career, she developed campaigns for major clients such as Avon, Business Week, and Fayva Shoes, winning an Andy Award for her creative excellence. As an author, she has been recognized as an IPNE Book Award Finalist for her work on Finding Zoe, whose curriculum is used in Deaf universities. She also wrote Your Heart Knows the Answer, a self-help guide on listening to the voice of the heart and cultivating self-love.

Gail’s background in psychology, coupled with her Ghostwriting Certification from California State University, Long Beach, allows her to connect deeply with her clients, uncovering the heart of their stories and guiding them to share their highest expression. Beyond writing, Gail brings her spiritual nature, creativity, and right-brained perspective to every project, helping clients craft books that are insightful, inspiring, and marketable.

As a mentor, copywriter, and storyteller, Gail thrives on creating lasting connections—with authors, audiences, and communities—empowering women to tell their stories in ways that matter. Whether developing curriculum, crafting narrative nonfiction, or guiding a client through the writing process, she is committed to helping others discover and shine their own gold.
