Gelinda Thomas
Gelinda T. is a dedicated and compassionate professional with a strong background in customer service, healthcare support, and community advocacy. With over six years of experience in senior living and healthcare facilities, she has built a career centered around providing clients with the highest level of service and care. Currently serving as Lead Door Staff at The River Towers Condo in Minneapolis, Gelinda ensures smooth operations, manages resident concerns, and coordinates with maintenance and security teams—all while maintaining a calm, professional presence in a busy environment.
Before her current role, Gelinda worked as a Security Professional with American Security & Investigations and as a Lead Resident Counselor at Zumbro House Inc., where she supervised staff, supported clients with daily living needs, and managed compliance with healthcare and safety standards. Her background also includes advocacy work with Avivo, where she helped individuals access vital community and health resources. These experiences highlight her commitment to service, leadership, and community well-being.
A graduate of the Minnesota School of Business with an Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies and a Diploma in Community Health Work from Summit Academy OIC, Gelinda continues to build on her diverse skill set through professional certifications, including cybersecurity and risk management. Passionate about helping others and creating positive change, she is now seeking new opportunities as a Probation or Parole Officer—where she can use her interpersonal skills, sense of fairness, and dedication to advocacy to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
