Miranda brings basic business training, limited college coursework, and business certifications to her role, which she entered after learning the welding trade alongside her husband. 01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't settle, don't give up, and keep going forward. Keep pushing yourself.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't feel uncomfortable or that you can't do it just because you're a woman in the trade. Everything is possible. Don't let anybody intimidate you. Don't give up. It's not easy, but don't give up.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Being a woman in a male-dominated trade, including understanding 'guy language' when submitting proposals and gaining acceptance from men in the field.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Family. Making clients feel like family instead of just clients, building trust when entering their homes.
