Her Story

About Genesis

I am writing to share a bit about my background and the motivations that drive me. I come from a family that has always taught me to be strong and to never give up. My greatest motivation is my three-year-old son; I strive every day to make things happen so that he can one day look at me and be proud of everything I have accomplished.

It is my goal to lead by example and show him that humbleness, kindness, and working hard for your dreams will truly get you somewhere in life. I believe in the importance of pushing yourself and staying resilient, no matter the circumstances.

Thank you for allowing me to share my story.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Genesis

01What do you attribute your success to?

My mom and my parents always push me to not want some to be not hungry, to be starving for something.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

I wanted to share some advice regarding career development. I highly recommend entering the medical field; once you are in, many doors open for you. For instance, you can transition into Personal Injury (PI) or Workers' Compensation.

It is important to gain a foundational knowledge of the medical field because once you understand the terminology, you will be able to read and interpret any medical records or documents effectively.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I wanted to reach out and share some thoughts on the journey ahead.

It is going to be stressful and, at times, overwhelming. The workload is intense and the material you learn is quite rigorous—including requirements like becoming CPR certified. However, despite how "crazy" the books and the process may seem, I truly believe that at the end of the day, you will see your reward.

Keep pushing forward, and remember why you started.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I wanted to share some reflections on my experience in the Personal Injury field. I feel very blessed to work at a company where I am able to learn something new every day. I don’t currently feel like I am facing major challenges because there is so much opportunity for growth here.

In this field, there is always room to expand your skills, whether it is learning how to handle settlements or understanding policy limits. I truly appreciate the constant growth and learning environment provided by the firm.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

For me, it's family and being loyalty.
