Genessy Jaramillo is a commercial real estate professional with seven years of experience as a broker. She serves as Managing Director and specializes in development sites and air rights, representing sellers of property across New York City's five boroughs. Her territory focuses on the Upper East Side in Manhattan for development sites, with air rights handled citywide. Jaramillo's typical responsibilities include market research, outreach to property owners, meetings, pitches, and executing deals. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a major in business management and attributes much of her training to her mentor, Bob Knackle, founder and CEO of her company. Originally from Florida, she moved to New York two years ago and has sustained her career in one of the world's toughest commercial real estate markets. Jaramillo credits her success to the strong support system provided by her family.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I have a great support system from my family. My parents and siblings never let me give up and always encourage me. When I had the crazy idea of moving to New York, they helped me start packing and believe in me, which gives me the confidence to do whatever I want.
