Genise Brim: An influential woman is a woman who knows her worth and that her voice is power. And that she can inspire other women to look inside themselves and see that they too have that ability to create and inspire others to make change in their lives that make a lasting effect.

What's one piece of advice you would give to younger women chasing their dreams?

Genise Brim: I would say to that young person chasing that dream that you are authentic. You're different. Your flow will be different from everyone else. Know your purpose and you won't have to chase a dream. Stay focused, know your goals, and keep them before you that you won't look to the left or the right. Nobody's running this race but you. Don't chase a dream, know your dream.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Genise

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the guidance of mentors particularly Dr. David Daly, Dr. Eric Hunstad, and Dr. Barbara Woo-Daly, who have shaped my growth and perspective. Above all, my faith in God has played a central role, bringing supportive people into my life at the right moments. I also measure success through the tangible results I help my clients achieve through coaching, which continually inspires and motivates me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received comes from my mentors, who encouraged me to take a holistic, integrative approach to both life and work, reminding me to “eat better” as part of overall wellness. I’ve also been guided to speak authentically and share my perspective openly, embracing the principle of “speak your truth,” which has profoundly shaped how I lead and connect with others.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

For young women entering this industry, I would emphasize the importance of having a genuine heart for people. Be willing to listen deeply, persevere through challenging client situations, and partner closely with those you serve. Staying committed to the process and maintaining empathy will not only help you succeed but also make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is the lack of practical, tangible guidance for women navigating menopause and other hormonal transitions. At the same time, there is a tremendous opportunity as demand grows for concrete tools, workshops, and collaborative programs. I am excited to expand offerings both locally and internationally, providing meaningful support and resources to women during these pivotal life stages.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are service, compassion, empowerment, and resilience. My faith also shapes my perspective, giving me confidence that God orchestrates the relationships and opportunities I need to make a meaningful impact.
