Geri Lynn
Geri Lynn is the Dealer Principal of Geri Lynn Nissan, a trusted name in the Houma-Thibodaux automotive community for four decades. A graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Geri built her career on determination, love of family and her community . Since founding her dealership in 1985, she has become a respected leader in the automotive industry. She is well-known for her off-the-wall sometimes viral TV commercials featuring her beloved team, her Mascot, Polly the Parrot, and most recently her dachshunds Pebbles and BamBam, creating a celebratory, bell-ringing, cheerful and lively atmosphere on the showroom floor that keeps customers coming back time and again.
Beyond business, Geri’s warmth and personality shine through in everything she does. Known for her fun and loving spirit, she creates an environment filled with joy and authenticity. A true animal lover, she shares her work days with her two devoted dachshunds and Polly the Parrot delighting staff and customers alike. Geri’s success is a reflection not only of her business savvy but also of her heart, leading with love, faith, and an unshakeable belief in people.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my parents strong work ethic. Their support, values, and guidance have shaped my character and work ethic, influencing the person and professional I am today.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: you have to truly want it. Passion, determination, and perseverance are what will set you apart and carry you through challenges along the way.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The car business remains very male dominated, as do other industries. Whatever you feel in your heart, takes the steps needed to reach your goals. No matter what anyone says to you, NEVER GIVE UP!
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me in both my work and personal life are faith, family, strong relationships and being a cheerful giver. Although I am very serious about my business, I believe in having fun along the way with a positive, playful, joyful outlook allows me to live a meaningful life while lifting up others.
