Her Interview

Ten minutes with Gianna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my family, who have always been my backbone. My goal is to be the supportive healthcare professional, teammate, dietitian, and personal trainer I wish I had as a teenager while struggling with PMOS and obesity, so others don’t have to face those challenges for decades.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is to say yes to opportunities, even when I’m not completely sure I’m ready. I’ve learned that I can figure things out along the way, ask for help when needed, and embrace discomfort because it encourages growth.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You have the ability to create the career path you want, especially as a dietitian. It takes tenacity and ambition, but if you want to pursue something outside the conventional path, the opportunities are wide open if you’re willing to pursue them. Find your motivation within yourself, trust your vision, and do it for you.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I lead with honesty, compassion, kindness, transparency, friendship, and respect in both my work and personal life. I believe there is room for all of us to succeed, and by embracing these values, we can positively impact and help many people.
